You may be hearing about a security vulnerability in OpenSSL (the encryption software used by the majority of sites on the Internet) dubbed the Heartbleed Bug that was disclosed earlier this week.
We became aware of the OpenSSL vulnerability when it was first reported, and our security team took immediate action to conduct a comprehensive review of our environment. Our comprehensive review verified that our own infrastructure was not vulnerable. A service provided by a third-party was vulnerable, but the vendor promptly patched its software to fix the vulnerability. As a precaution, the third-party vendor also replaced the encryption key.
