Two years ago I decided to install an electricity generating solar
system on my home to offset the increasing costs from PG&E.
While the costs of the system installation were right on target,
it's becoming readily apparent that the recovery of this
expenditure through reduced electric bills will take 3 or more
years longer than I had been told. The savings I receive are
significant (close to 80% reduction in PG&E bills), but it will
probably take 10 years to pay for itself.
